This song comes from the nursery rhyme "The Crooked Man". I pictured a crooked man, living in his crooked house and I started to imagine some of the other crooked people that he must have came across in his life. One of these characters was a crooked girl who had honey glazed eyes and was hiding her cigarettes in her mothers bible. She just seemed like such a larger than life character, so we decided to give her a song of her own. For keepsies.
Mostly recorded during late nights, hence the title, this EP is full of whispery synthpop that is both beguiling and mysterious. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 12, 2022
