This song was inspired by our recording environment, we set up a temporary studio in my parents house which contains my Mother's butterfly collection. My Mum didn't collect them herself, so as a kid I'd always wondered who did and why they used their "jars and pins". This idea made me think of the way that we as people "collect" each other. Trying to make a connection with popular people of our time and of the past. The concept of this just kept going around and around in my head, then I paired it up with Olly's eerie, slow groove and this is what we came up with.
Mostly recorded during late nights, hence the title, this EP is full of whispery synthpop that is both beguiling and mysterious. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 12, 2022
